This win marked a significant moment for the Sunrisers, placing them at the top of the Betway SA20 standings with 10 points, while the Capitals are still searching for their first win after two matches.


Batting Brilliance from De Kock

The local crowd in Gqeberha turned out in large numbers, transforming South Africa's oldest Test venue into a vibrant sea of orange for the first home match of Season 4. The atmosphere was electric, enhanced by the iconic brass band, making it a memorable night for Betway SA20 fans.


De Kock was the star of the show, scoring 77 runs off just 47 balls, including five fours and six sixes. His innings featured a mix of powerful pull shots and stunning lofted cover drives.


Matthew Breetzke supported him well, contributing 52 runs off 33 balls, which included seven fours and one six. Together, they formed a thrilling partnership of 116 runs in just 70 balls after the early loss of Jonny Bairstow.
