Punjab's Strong Performance

In the second semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, Punjab managed to score 291 runs in their allotted 50 overs, thanks to Anmolpreet Singh's century and a resilient 87 from wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran Singh.

Key Partnerships Fuel Punjab's Innings

Punjab began their innings with an opening partnership of 60 runs between Harnoor Singh and Prabhsimran Singh. Unfortunately, Harnoor was run out in the 13th over due to a brilliant effort by Chirag Jani, finishing with 33 runs from 43 balls, which included five boundaries and one six.

Following this, Prabhsimran and Anmolpreet formed a solid second-wicket partnership of 109 runs. Prabhsimran scored 87 runs off 89 balls, featuring nine fours and three sixes, before being dismissed by Chirag Jani.

Mid-Innings Challenges for Punjab

Punjab faced a slump in the middle overs, with Naman Dhir scoring only eight runs off 14 balls and Nehal Wadhera going out for a golden duck, leaving the team at 200/4 by the end of the 37th over.

Anmolpreet's Century Shines in Final Overs

Anmolpreet Singh reached his century in the 46th over, scoring 100 runs off 105 balls, which included nine fours and one six. His innings helped Punjab reach 267/4 before he was dismissed by Chetan Sakariya in the 47th over.

Ramandeep Singh contributed 42 runs off 38 balls, but the remaining batsmen struggled, leading to Punjab being all out for 291 runs.
