Batting first, the runners-up from the previous season amassed a total of 254 runs, largely thanks to impressive half-centuries from Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly. Connolly, aged 22, played a pivotal role, contributing 87 runs off just 46 balls, including eight fours and seven sixes, while forming a remarkable 182-run partnership with Arya.

During the post-match press conference, Connolly expressed his admiration for Arya's batting, stating, "The wicket was pretty nice.
