Excitement Builds for PKL Season 12 Auction

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 27: The upcoming auction for Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), scheduled for May 31 and June 1, is anticipated to be the most thrilling player draft in the league's history, featuring numerous prominent players entering the bidding pool, as stated in a PKL announcement.

At the forefront of this impressive lineup is Devank Dalal, recognized as Panchkula 11's Best Raider. He achieved an impressive total of 301 raid points from 426 raids, which included 8 Super Raids and 18 Super 10s, while leading the Patna Pirates to the finals.

Despite his remarkable performance, the Patna Pirates opted not to retain him, making Dalal one of the most sought-after free agents in the league.

"This is my first experience with an auction, and I am thrilled after such a fantastic season," Dalal expressed, as per the PKL release.

His standout season featured a memorable match where he scored 26 points.

"That 26-point game early in the season was a turning point for me. The support I received from that performance was incredible and helped me improve throughout the season," he remarked.

Dalal is flexible regarding his future team choices.

"I believe I can excel with any team, but success is never guaranteed – it’s all uncertain," he stated.

Nonetheless, he hasn't dismissed the possibility of returning to the Patna Pirates, mentioning, "If Patna Pirates decide to use their Final Bid Match option, I would be happy to go back to that team."

The auction will also mean parting ways with his successful raiding partner, Ayan Lohchab.

"Every team has supporting raiders, but I will certainly miss Ayan as we had great synergy," he acknowledged.

When discussing the pressures associated with high price tags, the young raider exhibited a mature perspective.

"I don’t feel pressured by the financial aspects. While the prize money is appealing, pressure can hinder performance. We will receive what is meant for us," he explained.

Dalal's aspirations for the upcoming season reflect his determination.

"My personal aim is straightforward – wherever I end up, I will give my all. I plan to outperform last year and strive to help my team secure all titles," he concluded.
