Prithvi Shaw's Departure from Mumbai

On Monday, Prithvi Shaw, the troubled Indian cricketer, officially ended his association with the Mumbai team after obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). This move is aimed at allowing him to join a different domestic team to further his cricketing career. Although Shaw has faced challenges in the red-ball format, he has shown promise in white-ball cricket. His off-field disciplinary issues have often overshadowed his on-field performances. The MCA confirmed that they have received Shaw's request and have granted their approval.


Statement from the Mumbai Cricket Association

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) released a statement regarding Shaw's request for a No Objection Certificate to play for another state in the upcoming domestic season. MCA Secretary Abhay Hadap expressed appreciation for Shaw's contributions to Mumbai cricket, stating, "Prithvi Shaw has been an exceptional talent and has contributed significantly to Mumbai cricket. We respect his decision and wish him the very best in his future endeavors."
