Prince Yadav's Thrilling Moment Against RCB

Prince Yadav expressed that dismissing Virat Kohli for a two-ball duck was a memorable experience, yet emphasized that the Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) triumph over the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) held greater significance for him than any personal milestone.

In a high-stakes IPL 2026 match held in Lucknow, Prince made an early impact by taking Kohli's wicket, contributing to LSG's narrow nine-run victory during a high-scoring encounter. Reflecting on this achievement, he stated that the match's outcome was far more gratifying.

"While I felt pleased after taking the wicket, my ultimate happiness stems from our victory. Had we lost despite my wicket, it wouldn't have mattered as much. The most important aspect for me is that my team emerged victorious," Prince shared in the post-match press briefing.

Support from Coaches and Senior Players

The young fast bowler also discussed the valuable guidance he received from LSG's bowling coach Bharat Arun and seasoned Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, noting that their discussions have been both constructive and encouraging.

"I regularly converse with them, including Mohammed Shami. Everything is progressing well; we engage in positive discussions focused on our performance and delivery strategies," Prince remarked.

He further acknowledged Shami's role in helping him grasp the intricacies of bowling with a new ball and instilling confidence in younger bowlers during matches.

"I've gained a lot of insights from him regarding the new ball. What I appreciate most is that he stands at mid-on or mid-off while a bowler is bowling. Having such an experienced player nearby significantly boosts your confidence. Mohammad Shami's presence is invaluable," the LSG pacer added.

Match Summary: A High-Scoring Thriller

In this exciting match, Marsh delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 111 runs off 56 balls, including nine fours and nine sixes, leading LSG to a total of 209/3 in 19 overs, despite interruptions due to rain.

A crucial 95-run partnership between Devdutt Padikkal (34 runs off 25 balls, with three fours and a six) and captain Rajat Patidar (61 runs off 31 balls, with three fours and six sixes) helped RCB recover after losing two early wickets.

Contributions from Tim David (40 runs off 17 balls, with four boundaries and three sixes), Krunal Pandya (28* runs off 16 balls, with two fours and two sixes), and Romario Shepherd (23* runs off 15 balls, with three fours) kept RCB competitive, but they ultimately fell short by nine runs.

With this victory, LSG has achieved its third win of the season, although they remain at the bottom of the standings with seven losses. RCB, on the other hand, has dropped to third place after suffering their fourth defeat in the tournament.
