Urs Maintains Strong Performance

Pranavi Urs, representing India, recorded her third consecutive round under par but fell out of the top ten, finishing tied for 15th place after a challenging moving day at the 2026 Women's Irish Open. The golfer from Mysuru posted a two-under-par 70 on Saturday, bringing her total score over 54 holes to an impressive seven-under-par (69-70-70), with only the final round remaining on Sunday.

Challenging Conditions for Urs

As the only Indian golfer to make the cut, Urs faced tough, wet conditions at The K Club's Palmer South Course, while her fellow countrywomen Diksha Dagar, Tvesa Malik, and Avani Prashanth did not advance past the halfway mark. Despite a rocky start, which included back-to-back birdies on the second and third holes followed by dropped shots on the fourth and fifth, Urs rebounded with a birdie on the par-4 seventh and another on the 10th. She finished her round with eight consecutive pars, signing for a 70.

Alexander Leads the Pack

At the forefront of the tournament, South Africa's Casandra Alexander is on track for a wire-to-wire victory after shooting a solid three-under 69. The 27-year-old managed to navigate a 45-minute weather delay due to heavy rain, maintaining a strong overall score of 18-under-par and holding a three-shot lead over her closest competitor.

Impressive Performances from Contenders

In second place is Sara Kouskova from the Czech Republic, who is at 15-under-par after a flawless five-under 67, featuring three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 seventh. Just two strokes behind her is Sweden's Kajsa Arwefjall, who delivered an outstanding nine-under 63, including eight birdies and an eagle on the par-5 10th, putting her back in contention after a recent near-miss at the Swiss Ladies Open.

Local favorite Leona Maguire thrilled the crowd with nine birdies for a 63, moving into a tie for sixth at 11-under-par. However, due to preferred lies, her and Arwefjall's scores will not be recognized as official course records. Maguire is tied with Sweden's Louise Rydqvist and Corinne Viden, both at 12-under-par, as they head into the decisive final round.
