In a move to enhance the popularity of pickleball in India, a prominent media network has unveiled the second edition of the Pickleball Now Grand Prix 2026. This premium sporting initiative will take place across thirteen cities over the coming months, providing aspiring players with a unique chance to transition into professional ranks and compete in the Indian Pickleball League (IPBL).

Event Schedule and Opportunities

The Grand Prix will kick off in Mumbai on July 23, followed by events in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Gurugram, and Lucknow (held in Noida) from August to September. Participants will have the opportunity to earn Pickleball World Ranking (PWR) points and compete for prizes totaling up to ₹50 lakh.

This initiative aims to strengthen the talent pipeline for grassroots players by collaborating with the Indian Pickleball League, creating a pathway from amateur competitions to professional opportunities. The tournament will also serve as a scouting platform for league franchises, who will be on the lookout for emerging talent throughout the series.

Competition Format and Registration

Winners of the Pickleball Now Grand Prix will gain entry into the IPBL Player Auction, allowing them to compete in India's top professional pickleball league. The defending champions, the Mumbai Smashers, will also participate in the Mumbai leg, providing a chance for competitors to showcase their skills in front of franchise representatives.

The Mumbai edition will feature a round-robin format across various categories, including Men's Doubles (19+) – Advanced & Intermediate, Women's Doubles (19+) – Advanced & Intermediate, Mixed Doubles (19+) – Advanced & Intermediate, Gender Neutral Doubles (19+) – Advanced & Intermediate, and Men's Singles (19+) – Advanced & Intermediate. Registrations for the Mumbai edition of the Pickleball Now Grand Prix are currently open.
