Pat Cummins, the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, recently updated fans on his recovery from a back injury by sharing a photo on Instagram. In the image, he is seen wearing his team's jersey with the caption, 'Good to be back,' posted on Thursday morning.

During a recent episode of the Business of Sport podcast, Cummins discussed his rehabilitation journey, stating that he has started bowling in the nets again. He mentioned, 'I'm still recovering from a back injury, but it's good. I'm back bowling in the nets,' as reported by ESPNcricinfo.

Although he will miss the beginning of the IPL season, Cummins is hopeful about returning soon. He noted, 'The IPL is starting soon. I won't make the start of that, but it shouldn't be too long before I'm back out there playing.'

Currently, Cummins is following a structured plan, bowling every third day to ensure a safe return to competitive cricket. He expressed optimism about being ready for the latter part of the tournament, stating, 'We've mapped out a plan to get me right by [the] middle of the tournament, so hopefully, if nothing goes wrong, [I'll] play the back half plus the finals.'

Last year, Cummins faced a back stress injury that limited him to just one Test match against England during the Ashes series. He also missed the ICC Men's T20 World Cup held in India and Sri Lanka.
