Paras Dogra Supports India for T20 World Cup Success

The captain of Jammu and Kashmir, Paras Dogra, has expressed his belief that India will triumph in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 final against New Zealand, asserting that the home team possesses the capability to dominate the match.

Analyzing the paths both teams took to reach the T20 World Cup 2026 final, India and New Zealand had contrasting journeys. New Zealand bounced back from group-stage defeats to South Africa and England, showcasing their strength in the semifinals by chasing down 170 runs against South Africa with a remarkable nine-wicket victory in just 12.5 overs, featuring Finn Allen's record-breaking 33-ball century—the fastest in T20 World Cup history. Meanwhile, India remained unbeaten in the group stage, with the exception of a Super 8s loss to South Africa, and secured a nail-biting seven-run win over England in the semifinals after scoring 253/7 in their innings.

Historically, New Zealand has never lost to India in T20 World Cups (2007, 2016, 2021), but India's recent 4-1 T20I series victory over the Black Caps in India provides the hosts with a psychological edge heading into the final.

In an interview prior to the final, Dogra confidently stated, "India will win. I wouldn't want to say anything else. I think it will be one-sided. India is a very good team, and hopefully, they will win."

Reflecting on the Historic Ranji Trophy Win

When asked about clinching the Ranji Trophy for the first time, Dogra described the achievement as a significant milestone, attributing the victory to the team's belief and desire to perform.

So, let's see what happens."
