Pankaj Lochan Mohanty Re-elected as President of Amateur Baseball Federation of India
Election Results in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has been re-elected as the President of the Amateur Baseball Federation of India (ABFI) during the recent elections held in Bhubaneswar. The election process also saw Arvind Kumar from Haryana take on the role of General Secretary after his competitor, Dillip from Goa, withdrew his candidacy.
In the Treasurer position, S Venkatesh from Tamil Nadu triumphed over Sweta from Telangana with a vote count of 33 to 13. Additionally, the election resulted in the appointment of four Vice Presidents, four Joint Secretaries, and four Executive Body Members, all serving a four-year term. A total of 46 representatives from 23 states participated in this electoral event.
Justice Debabrata Dash (Retd) acted as the Returning Officer, ensuring that all election protocols were followed meticulously.
Mohanty previously held the presidency from 2016 to 2019, during which he implemented various initiatives aimed at enhancing the popularity of baseball in India. His extensive experience and popularity in sports administration led to his unopposed election this time.
