Pakistan's T20I Team Set for Bangladesh Series

Salman Ali Agha has been appointed as the captain of Pakistan's 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Notable players such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi will not be part of the team due to various reasons. Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr. are still in recovery from injuries, while Haris Rauf is sidelined after sustaining an injury during the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025.

Ahmed Daniyal, a 28-year-old right-arm medium pacer, is set to make his international debut following an impressive performance in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025.

Faheem Ashraf and Fakhar Zaman, who participated in the previous T20I series against Bangladesh at home, have also been selected for this squad. Additionally, Mohammad Nawaz returns after last playing in a T20I in January 2024.

Earlier this year, Pakistan dominated the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, with wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris earning the Player of the Series title for scoring 179 runs across three matches at an impressive strike rate of 201.12.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh is currently involved in an all-format series against Sri Lanka. After completing the third ODI, they will face Pakistan in three T20Is, which are scheduled to take place at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, starting on Sunday, July 20.
