Djokovic Nears Milestone Title

Novak Djokovic is on the verge of claiming his 100th tour-level title after overcoming a brief setback in the second set to defeat British qualifier Cameron Norrie with scores of 6-4, 6-7(6), 6-1 during the semi-finals of the Geneva Open on Friday.

A victory in Saturday's final against Polish sixth seed Hubert Hurkacz would serve as an ideal conclusion to the 24-time Grand Slam champion's preparations for the upcoming French Open, which kicks off on Sunday. Djokovic boasts an impressive 7-0 record against Hurkacz in their previous encounters.

Celebrating his 38th birthday on Thursday, Djokovic showcased his skills by delivering 11 aces and 34 winners in a match that lasted two hours and 15 minutes.

After two closely contested sets, Djokovic dominated the final set, quickly establishing a 3-0 lead before Norrie managed to score.

Djokovic then won the next three games, securing his spot in the 143rd ATP Final.

"This was the most challenging match of the tournament for me so far, going to three sets," Djokovic remarked. "In the second set, he had a break advantage, but I fought back to reach the tiebreak... I'm pleased with how I regrouped in the third set and delivered my best performance of the tournament." Currently ranked sixth in the world, Djokovic is aiming for his fourth title at Roland Garros, although he has faced challenges in maintaining form since his semi-final exit at the Australian Open in January due to injury.
