Goals from Jairo Samperio and Dinesh Singh Soraisham secured the win, allowing the Highlanders to finish ninth in the standings with a total of 16 points. In contrast, Mohammedan SC, who had already been confirmed for relegation earlier in the season, ended up at the bottom of the table with just three points, concluding their campaign winless.
