New Zealand's Stellar Performance in Semifinal

Kolkata: Finn Allen delivered an explosive performance, scoring an impressive unbeaten 100 runs off just 33 deliveries, propelling New Zealand to the T20 World Cup final with a commanding nine-wicket victory over South Africa in the first semifinal on Wednesday.

Allen's innings featured 10 boundaries and eight sixes, while his opening partner, Tim Seifert, contributed 58 runs as New Zealand effortlessly chased down the 170-run target, finishing the match with 43 balls remaining.

Kagiso Rabada was the sole wicket-taker for South Africa, ending with figures of 1 for 28.

Earlier in the match, Marco Jansen played a crucial role for South Africa, scoring an unbeaten 55 runs in a valiant effort that helped the team reach 169 for 8 after being put to bat first.

Jansen's knock included two fours and five sixes off 30 balls, reviving South Africa's innings after they found themselves struggling at 77 for 5 in the 11th over.
