Nava Raipur, Sep 8: The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) is set to host the inaugural Nava Raipur Open 2026 from September 15 to 18 at the Fairway Golf & Lake Resort in Chhattisgarh.
This event is being backed by the Chhattisgarh government, and PGTI chief Kapil Dev will be present for the launch on Sunday.
A total of 132 professional golfers will compete for a prize pool of ₹1 crore, featuring prominent Indian players such as Saptak Talwar, Honey Baisoya, Veer Ahlawat, Akshay Sharma, Khalin Joshi, Rashid Khan, Manu Gandas, and Om Prakash Chouhan from Mhow, along with 18 international participants.
The tournament week will kick off with a Pro-Am event on September 13, followed by an official practice round on September 14, leading into the main competition from September 15 to 18.
Kapil Dev, President of PGTI, expressed, “Nava Raipur has the potential to become a key hub for professional golf in India. Our return for a second tournament this year demonstrates our faith in its capabilities. I am eager to attend the launch on September 13 and support the advancement of golf and tourism in the area.”
