On Tuesday, Mussoorie Thunder clinched a spot in the finals of the Dehradun T20 League 2026 by narrowly defeating Vikasnagar Dhamaka by four runs in an exhilarating first semi-final held at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun.
Rathore's Stellar Performance
Mussoorie Thunder batted first but faced early challenges. Captain Neeraj Singh Rathore played a pivotal role, scoring an impressive 62 runs off 47 balls, which included five boundaries and four sixes. Dikshu added a valuable 21 runs to the total. Vikasnagar Dhamaka's bowlers, Vinay Aswal, Abhishek Singh, and Shashwat Dangwal, each took two wickets, showcasing disciplined bowling. Ultimately, Mussoorie Thunder was bowled out for 127 runs in the final over.
Anshul Kumar's Match-Winning Spell
In pursuit of 128 runs, Vikasnagar Dhamaka started strong, with Rohit Danu scoring 39 and Kunal Chandela contributing 36 runs. However, Mussoorie Thunder's Anshul Kumar changed the game with a remarkable bowling performance, taking five wickets for just 18 runs in four overs. Despite being in a commanding position, Vikasnagar Dhamaka lost momentum in the final overs, finishing at 123/9 and losing the match by four runs.
