Bumrah, positioned at the boundary before his over, was seen providing encouragement to Jayawardene and later to Hardik Pandya. He then delivered a remarkable ball that dismissed Sundar, who scored 48 runs off 24 balls, effectively halting GT's momentum and swinging the game back in favor of Mumbai.


 


Sundar and Sai Sudharsan were on a roll, having added 84 runs in just 44 balls, bringing the target within reach for the Titans. Mumbai needed a breakthrough, and Bumrah delivered just that.

Rohit Sharma's Stellar Performance Sets Up Clash with PBKS


 


The Mumbai Indians set a formidable target of 228/5 after choosing to bat first, led by Rohit Sharma's impressive 81 runs off 50 balls. Jonny Bairstow contributed a quick 47 runs off 22 balls, while Hardik Pandya (22* off 9) and Tilak Varma (25 off 11) added valuable runs to help MI surpass the 200-run mark.


 


In their chase, the Titans fought back with Sai Sudharsan scoring 80 runs off 49 balls and Sundar adding 48 runs off 24 balls. However, Bumrah's economical bowling figures of 4 overs, 27 runs, and 1 wicket kept the Titans' chase under control. Ultimately, MI secured a 20-run victory, eliminating the 2022 champions and setting up a Qualifier 2 match against the Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad on June 1st. The winner will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final on June 3rd, following RCB's earlier victory over PBKS in Qualifier 1.
