Liverpool [UK], March 25: Iconic forward Mohamed Salah has announced that he will conclude his nine-year journey with Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The club released a statement confirming, “Mohamed Salah will officially end his remarkable tenure with Liverpool FC at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season. He has reached an agreement with the club to close this significant chapter at Anfield.”
In a gesture of respect towards the fans, Salah expressed his desire to share this news as soon as possible, emphasizing his gratitude for their unwavering support.
Since joining from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, Salah has become one of the most celebrated players in Liverpool's history, contributing to the team's triumphs in two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and two League Cups, along with an FA Community Shield.
With an impressive record of 255 goals in 435 matches, the Egyptian forward ranks third on Liverpool's all-time goalscorers list and has secured the Premier League Golden Boot four times, among numerous other accolades.
Despite the announcement, Salah remains focused on the current season, aiming to help Liverpool achieve the best possible results before he bids farewell to Anfield later this year.
Currently, Liverpool sits fifth in the Premier League standings with 14 wins, seven draws, and 10 losses, totaling 49 points, trailing leaders Arsenal by 21 points.
The Reds are gearing up for their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on April 9, following a match against Manchester City on April 4.
