Bezzecchi's Remarkable Achievement

Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia Racing has made history by clinching his fifth consecutive Grand Prix victory, becoming only the third Italian rider to achieve this feat. He also marked the first time since Marc Marquez in 2014 that a rider has won the first three races of a season. Additionally, Aprilia secured a 1-2 finish for the second consecutive race, with Jorge Martin finishing in second place after his Tissot Sprint Gold, while Pedro Acosta from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing took third.

Exciting Start in Texas

In a thrilling start, Acosta launched off the front row to take the holeshot, with Bezzecchi quickly moving into second place. Martin also surged into third. Early on, Acosta encountered trouble at Turn 11, allowing Bezzecchi to take the inside line. The two riders collided, resulting in a piece of Aprilia debris flying off, but Bezzecchi maintained his lead while Acosta recovered swiftly.

Bezzecchi Breaks Records

As the race progressed, the competition intensified. Fabio Di Giannantonio from Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team battled with Marc Marquez from Ducati Lenovo Team, with Di Giannantonio initially ahead. Francesco Bagnaia also managed to overtake Marquez, followed closely by Joan Mir from Honda HRC Castrol. Bezzecchi set a new record by leading more consecutive Grand Prix laps than any other rider in the modern era, surpassing Jorge Lorenzo's previous record of 103 laps.

Penalties and Race Dynamics

Marquez faced a penalty for an incident with Di Giannantonio during the Sprint, which he completed without incident. Mir received a Long Lap penalty for a shortcut but crashed shortly after. Meanwhile, Martin attempted to overtake Acosta for second but faced challenges, dropping back into the pack.

Intense Mid-Pack Battles

Ai Ogura from Trackhouse MotoGP Team engaged in a fierce battle with Alex Marquez for sixth place, with Enea Bastianini trailing closely. After a Long Lap penalty, Marquez found himself in ninth place, struggling to make progress. Ogura made impressive moves to overtake Bagnaia and continued to push forward.

Ogura's Charge Ends in Drama

As the race unfolded, Acosta had a moment at Turn 1, allowing Martin to take second place, resulting in an Aprilia 1-2. Meanwhile, Ogura faced technical difficulties, forcing him to withdraw from the race. The battle for fifth intensified between Bagnaia and Marquez, with Bastianini also making aggressive moves.

Bezzecchi's Historic Victory

In the final laps, Bezzecchi maintained his lead over Martin, finishing 1.7 seconds ahead. He extended his record of consecutive laps led to 121 and became only the third Italian to win five consecutive races, joining legends Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini. Martin's second-place finish marked Aprilia's second consecutive 1-2 finish, while Acosta secured third place.
