Madhya Pradesh League Unveils Exciting New Jerseys for Upcoming Season

The Madhya Pradesh League has officially launched its new jerseys for the upcoming season, set to begin on June 12 in Gwalior. This year, the league expands to include seven men's teams and introduces a Women's Cricket League featuring three teams. Madhya Pradesh League Jersey Launch

Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh - On May 28, the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) revealed the colorful jerseys for its ten franchises, set to kick off on June 12 at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Shankarpur, Gwalior, as per an announcement from MPL.


This marks the second consecutive year that Gwalior will serve as the host for the entire tournament, following its successful inaugural season in 2024. The jersey launch event was a spectacular affair, highlighting the fresh designs for both men's and women's teams.


The ceremony attracted players, team officials, and notable guests from across the state, creating a buzz of excitement and anticipation.


Organized by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the supervision of the MP Cricket Association, the men's tournament has expanded from five to seven teams this season, now including franchises from the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions.


Additionally, a Women's Cricket League will debut this season, running concurrently with the men's matches. This league will feature three teams, one of which will represent Bhopal.


Chairman Mahanaaryaman Scindia commented on the MPL and the new team jerseys, stating, “The unveiling of the jerseys sets an exciting tone for the upcoming season. The Madhya Pradesh League has become a celebration of cricketing talent and regional pride. This year, we are not only expanding the league but also introducing a women's competition, showcasing our commitment to inclusivity and growth.”


GDCA president Prashant Mehta shared his enthusiasm, saying, “There is a palpable energy surrounding Madhya Pradesh League Season 2. The jerseys embody the spirit of their respective regions, and we are confident that the league will provide fans with thrilling cricket while discovering new talent for the state.”


Men's teams include: Gwalior Cheetahs, Bhopal Leopards, Jabalpur Royal Lions, Rewa Jaguars, Indore Pink Panthers, Chambal Ghariyals, and Bundelkhand Bulls.


Women's teams consist of: Chambal Ghariyals, Bhopal Wolves, and Bundelkhand Bulls.
