Axar Patel's Supportive Leadership

Madhav Tiwari, an all-rounder for the Delhi Capitals (DC), has expressed admiration for his captain, Axar Patel, highlighting his supportive nature and effective leadership. Tiwari noted that Patel places significant trust in his players and their strategies, which has positively impacted his own understanding of the all-rounder role.

"As a person, Axar bhaiya (Axar Patel) is exceptional. He is incredibly supportive and demonstrates confidence in your abilities and strategies. Playing alongside him has been a rewarding experience. Observing his approach as an all-rounder has taught me about the mental engagement required in both bowling and batting, unlike specialists who can afford to switch off between their roles," Tiwari shared.

Understanding the All-Rounder Role

Tiwari elaborated on the unique challenges faced by all-rounders, stating, "Typically, bowlers can relax mentally after their bowling duties are completed. However, as an all-rounder, you must remain engaged throughout the match. After bowling four overs, you have a brief break before needing to focus on batting. This constant mental involvement is something I learned from Axar, and it has deepened my appreciation for the role."

Valuable Experiences in the Dressing Room

Reflecting on his time in the Delhi Capitals dressing room, Tiwari described it as a highly enriching experience. He expressed excitement about interacting with senior players he had previously only seen on television. "Meeting these renowned players in person has been incredible. They are approachable and willing to share their knowledge. I can ask them anything, and they explain concepts patiently. Learning from each player and adopting their positive traits to enhance my game has been a privilege," he remarked.
