The Ludhiana Lions clinched their place in the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League final by defeating the Jalandhar Warriors by 17 runs in a nail-biting semi-final held at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Captain Salil Arora showcased an impressive unbeaten century, while pacer Sahil Bhaskar delivered a remarkable bowling performance, taking six wickets to help Ludhiana defend their total of 220 runs for 5 wickets. Jalandhar, despite a promising start, ended their innings at 203 runs for 8 wickets.

Arora's Century Revives Lions After Early Setback

Ludhiana faced a challenging start after being invited to bat first, with Jalandhar's bowlers maintaining pressure and claiming wickets consistently, leaving the Lions struggling at 105 for 5.

Emanjot Singh Chahal was the standout bowler for Jalandhar, finishing with figures of 2 wickets for 22 runs in four overs.

Bhaskar's Bowling Dismantles Jalandhar's Chase

Jalandhar started their chase confidently, with openers Vishwanath Singh and Prabhsimran Singh putting together a solid 61-run partnership. Vishwanath scored 27 runs off 20 balls before being dismissed, while Prabhsimran continued to score freely.

The Jalandhar captain found a reliable partner in Harjas Tandon, and together they added 35 runs for the second wicket, keeping the Warriors in contention. Prabhsimran eventually fell after scoring a well-made 63 runs off 35 balls, but Harjas kept attacking the Ludhiana bowlers.
