Bangladesh Appoints Litton Das as ODI Captain

Bangladesh has named Litton Das as its new captain for One Day Internationals (ODIs) as the team gears up for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup scheduled for next year.

The 31-year-old cricketer replaces Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who had been at the helm since June 2025. Miraz's tenure ended following a 2-1 ODI series loss to Zimbabwe earlier this month. Under his leadership, the team achieved 10 victories and suffered nine defeats in 20 matches. Notably, Bangladesh made significant strides during his captaincy, securing series wins against teams like West Indies, Pakistan, Australia, and New Zealand on home soil, according to ICC reports.
