Injury Update on Kylian Mbappe


Madrid: Kylian Mbappe, the star forward for Real Madrid, has been diagnosed with a "semitendinosus muscle injury" in his left leg. This diagnosis follows his discomfort during the recent 1-1 draw against Real Betis, as confirmed by the club on Monday.


During the match, Mbappe requested to be substituted in the 35th minute of the second half and was replaced by Gonzalo Garcia in the 81st minute.


The injury was confirmed after medical examinations conducted on Monday, although the club has not specified how long he will be sidelined.


Real Madrid issued a statement saying, "Following the tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappe by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his left leg. Awaiting progress."


This match marked Mbappe's 100th appearance for Real Madrid. In his second season with the club, he has achieved 66 victories and scored 85 goals across all competitions.


Since his debut on August 14, 2024, he has participated in 62 La Liga matches, 25 in the Champions League, 5 in the Copa del Rey, 4 in the Club World Cup, 3 in the Spanish Super Cup, and 1 in the UEFA Super Cup.
