Notable American players such as Ben Johns, Anna Leigh Waters, Anna Bright, Federico Staksrud, Gabe Tardio, Hayden Patriquin, Tyra Hurricane Black, Catherine Parenteau, Kate Fahey, and Kaitlyn Christian are anticipated to be in attendance.


Scheduled from September 9 to 13 in Kuala Lumpur, the tournament's registration process is already underway. This event marks the second major competition of 2026, featuring both Asian competitors and international stars vying for victory. Earlier this year, the Hanoi Cup showcased thrilling matches, with Hoang Nam Ly winning the Pro Men's Singles title and Kaitlyn Christian taking home the women's singles crown. The men's doubles title was claimed by Johns and Tardio, while Waters and Bright secured the women's doubles championship. Additionally, Waters and Johns triumphed in the mixed doubles category.


Nam Ly emerged as a standout competitor, defeating notable players like Christian Alshon, Tama Shimabukuro, Dylan Frazier, and Hien Truong on his way to the title. Hien Truong, who made it to the finals after a remarkable qualifying run, showcased impressive skills by overcoming Zane Navratil in the quarterfinals and top seed Federico Staksrud in the semifinals. However, his journey ended against fellow Vietnamese player Hoang Nam.
