Despite currently sitting at the bottom of the points table, Roy assures that the team is committed to giving their all for a victory. After a streak of five losses, KKR finally secured their first win by defeating the Rajasthan Royals by four wickets. They now hold the last position in the IPL 2026 standings with only one win from seven matches, alongside one no result.
Confidence in Team's Performance
During a pre-match press conference, Anukul Roy conveyed that the Kolkata Knight Riders are feeling confident ahead of their next game. He noted improvements in both the bowling and batting departments, emphasizing the team's determination to perform well. "The team is very confident. The bowlers are doing well, and the batting has also started to improve. We will try our best to win," he stated.
Focus on Improvement
Roy acknowledged that KKR's strategies have not been yielding the desired results in IPL 2026, which has contributed to their current position at the bottom of the table. However, he remains hopeful about turning their fortunes around. "What we want to achieve is not happening as planned. Results fluctuate, but we are focused on winning as many remaining matches as possible, and I believe things will improve for us," he remarked.

In their last match, KKR triumphed over the Rajasthan Royals by four wickets, with Anukul contributing an unbeaten 29 runs off 16 balls. He expressed satisfaction and confidence following his first win with the team. Anukul emphasized the importance of maintaining a calm mindset and staying focused, stating, "It was my first win for the team, and I feel very good and confident. We want to keep our mindset clear, stay calm, and give 100 percent to the team without overthinking."
