The Khele Sanand Season 3 wrapped up on March 30, celebrating the Andej boys' team and the DG School girls' team as the U-14 Kabaddi champions. In their finals, Andej triumphed over Shela with a score of 62-21, while the D.G. School team dominated Zamp Girls, winning 102-18 in the U-14 Girls Kabaddi event, as reported in a press release.

Grand Closing Ceremony

Following the finals, a grand closing ceremony honored the U-14 Kabaddi champions along with winners from Kho-Kho, Athletics, and Volleyball. The event featured Chintan Gaja, captain of the Gujarat Cricket Team and a Ranji player, as the Chief Guest. He shared his nostalgic memories of participating in school sports, including Kabaddi and Volleyball, and emphasized the importance of such events for youth development. Gaja praised the Khele Sanand Sports League for its efforts and encouraged the inclusion of more sports in future editions.

Khele Sanand Season 3 witnessed unprecedented participation, with 7,160 athletes from 105 villages competing in four sports. In comparison, the first season attracted 1,840 athletes from 152 teams, while the second season saw 2,544 athletes from 212 teams. This growth over three years illustrates Sanand's evolution into a 'Vibrant Sports Taluka.'

Athletics Makes its Debut

For the first time, athletics was included in Khele Sanand Season 3, featuring 3,160 athletes from 107 schools competing in 11 events. The participation has doubled in just two years, with 339 teams from Sanand taluka joining the annual sporting event, compared to 153 teams in the inaugural season. This remarkable increase highlights the rapid growth of Khele Sanand in the region.

Organized by the Vijayi Bharat Foundation (VBF), Khele Sanand serves as a vital platform for grassroots athletes in the Sanand area, fostering talent, character development, and preserving the spirit of traditional Indian sports for future generations.
