Kartik Tyagi, a fast bowler for the Meerut Mavericks, has expressed his admiration for captain Rinku Singh, asserting that Singh ranks among the top five finishers in global cricket, especially in high-pressure death overs. Tyagi's comments follow Rinku's remarkable match-winning display in Match 8 of the UP T20 League Season 4, where he led his team to a thrilling victory against the Lucknow Falcons at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

In this match, the Mavericks faced a challenging target of 184 runs and were falling behind the DLS par score as rain began in the 17th over. With the game hanging in the balance, Rinku launched an incredible counter-attack, scoring 26 runs off just five balls in that over bowled by Navneet Kumar. His explosive innings of 55 runs off 24 balls helped the Mavericks reach 154/6 in 16.5 overs, just ahead of the DLS requirement, before heavy rain interrupted play, clinching a remarkable win for his team.
