Jos Buttler, the renowned batter for England and Gujarat Titans (GT), has made history by becoming the fifth player to hit 600 sixes in T20 cricket. He reached this remarkable achievement during an IPL match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, scoring 52 runs off 27 balls, which included three fours and five sixes, boasting a strike rate of 192.59. Buttler now joins the ranks of Chris Gayle (1,056 sixes), Kieron Pollard (981 sixes), Andre Russell (784 sixes), and Nicholas Pooran (712 sixes), according to CricViz.

This performance signifies a resurgence for Buttler, marking his first half-century after a challenging stretch of 16 innings. His last fifty was recorded during the SA20 season four while playing for the Durban Super Giants (DSG) against Pretoria Capitals in January 2026. Buttler's T20 World Cup experience was disappointing, as he managed only 87 runs across eight innings, averaging 10.87, with a top score of 26.
In the ongoing IPL 2026 season, Buttler has accumulated 116 runs in three innings, averaging 38.66 with a strike rate exceeding 156, including one fifty.
