Playing for Yorkshire, he amassed 116 runs from 54 deliveries, marking a standout performance. Interestingly, Bairstow achieved this milestone on the same day that his teammate Joe Root scored a century against India in the third Test match, where Root made 104 runs.

Yorkshire's Strong Start
Yorkshire batted first, setting a target of 236 runs after losing six wickets in their 20 overs. Bairstow was expected to deliver a significant innings, and he did not disappoint. Despite a shaky start, with captain David Malan dismissed for just one run, Bairstow formed a crucial partnership with Will Luxton, adding 167 runs for the second wicket. Both players executed some spectacular shots during their partnership.
