Bollywood icon Salman Khan played an unexpected role in Jhandu Kumar's fitness journey. He revealed that watching Khan's films inspired him to pursue bodybuilding. "We admired Salman Khan’s physique and wanted to develop our own muscles, which sparked our interest in the gym," he explained. Although there were no gyms in his community initially, Jhandu committed to his training once facilities became available. His dedication ultimately led him to the Commonwealth Games podium. During the competition, he showcased his skills, achieving a score of 130.9 points and successfully lifting 190 kg, which placed him at the top of the leaderboard. Despite falling short of his personal best, his performance secured him a spot on the podium.
