Chennai Super Kings has officially announced the appointment of James Foster as their new fielding coach ahead of the IPL 2026 season. With a rich background in cricket, including playing for England and coaching various teams, Foster is set to enhance CSK's performance. The team will kick off their season against Rajasthan Royals on March 30, followed by a home match against Punjab Kings. James Foster Takes on New Role with CSK

On Monday, Chennai Super Kings announced the appointment of former England wicketkeeper-batter James Foster as their new fielding coach for the upcoming Indian Premier League season. Foster will be part of a coaching team that includes Stephen Fleming, the former captain of New Zealand, alongside batting coach Michael Hussey and bowling coach Eric Simmons.

The 45-year-old Foster has an impressive background, having played seven Tests, 11 ODIs, and five T20Is from 2001 to 2009. His coaching experience spans various teams, including roles with the England and New Zealand national sides, and he recently celebrated victory in the ILT20 with Desert Vipers. Additionally, he serves as the assistant coach for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.

CSK welcomed Foster on social media, stating, "Say Yellove to our fielding coach James Foster! With his extensive coaching experience across the globe, he embarks on this exciting new journey with us." The team is set to kick off their IPL 2026 season with an away match against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on March 30, followed by a home game against Punjab Kings on April 4.
