Exciting Conclusion of the ISSO Swimming Championship

The ISSO Swimming Championship for the years 2026-27 wrapped up successfully at Balewadi Stadium in Pune, Maharashtra, bringing together an impressive 749 swimmers from 153 schools across the nation for three days of intense competition.

This prestigious inter-school swimming event highlighted exceptional performances across various age groups, with young athletes showcasing their skills, determination, and resilience on a national platform. Dhirubhai Ambani International School claimed the title of Overall Champion, while Prometheus School, Noida, secured the runner-up position, and 21K School took home the Second runner-up award.

ISSO Director Gaurav Dixit commented on the event, stating, “The magnitude and quality of this year’s Swimming Championship illustrate the remarkable advancement of school sports in India. Witnessing 749 swimmers from 153 schools compete with such enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship reinforces ISSO’s dedication to establishing world-class competitive environments where young athletes can challenge themselves, learn, and flourish. This championship transcends mere medal wins; it’s about fostering the next generation of Indian sporting talent.”

In the Under-19 Boys category, the championship honors were shared by Ayyan Nagarkatti from Rose Manor International School, Ahaan Surekha from Aditya Birla World Academy, and Saaiansh Tapuriah from The Shri Ram School, Moulsari. Kanishka Vipin Sugunan was the runner-up, while Adit Dagar from Prometheus School, Noida, and Kabir Dandapani from Neev Academy were recognized as Second runners-up.

For the Under-19 Girls, Sanaya Shetty from Dhirubhai Ambani International School took the title. The runner-up spots went to Meshika Lawania from Prometheus School, Noida, and Anaya Nigam from Oberoi International School, Goregaon, with Arshiya Makkar, also from Prometheus School, securing the Second runner-up position.

In the Under-17 Boys category, champions Dhiaan Doshi from D. Y. Patil International School, Worli, and Sam Wilson from Hindustan International School, Chennai, were celebrated. The runner-up honors were awarded to Arhaan Harsh from Calorx Olive International School, Vishnu Sagar Jaivant from KC High International School, and Kabir Khubchandani from Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Second runners-up included Devansh Raj Julka from Sancta Maria, Faridabad, Utkarsh Mehta from Oberoi International School, Goregaon, and S. S. Sachin Satvik from 21K School.

The Under-17 Girls competition crowned Sanvi Jha from 21K School and Arudra Purushottam from New Baldwin International School as champions. Runner-up honors went to Aradhya Thota from Lady Andal School, Chennai, Hridhara from DPS East, Bengaluru, and Aashka Motishaw from B. D. Somani International School, while Alina Munshi from Aditya Birla World Academy and Seher Puri from Oberoi International School, JVLR were named Second Runners-up.

In the Under-14 Boys category, Rivaan Kolahi from JBCN International School, Parel, and Nischit Aryan Kusunuri from Ambitus World School emerged as champions. Kabir Virkar from Ascend International School was the runner-up, while Rian Peravalli from The Gaudium School, Hyderabad, took the Second Runner-up position.

The Under-14 Girls title was awarded to Laxmi Siraparapu from IRA Global School. Unnathi Lokineni from Oakridge International School, Bachupally, finished as the runner-up, while Khwaish Goyal from Anand Niketan International School and Sakshi Pazhani Vemal from D. G. Khetan International School were recognized as Second Runners-up.
