Isharani Baruah Secures Spot in Women's Singles Final

Emerging Indian badminton player Isharani Baruah triumphed over fellow countrywoman Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj in straight sets, earning her place in the women's singles final at the Vietnam Open Super 100 tournament on Saturday.


Baruah, who was seeded third, defeated the sixth seed Ramraj with scores of 21-10 and 21-18, completing the match in just 39 minutes.


In contrast, the top seed Tanvi Sharma faced an unexpected exit at the hands of unseeded Sarunrak Vitidsarn from Thailand. Sharma put up a strong fight but ultimately lost 19-21, 20-22 after 41 minutes in the other semifinal.


Meanwhile, in the men's singles semifinal, former world number one HS Prannoy, seeded third, encountered difficulties against the top seed Jia Heng Teh from Singapore, suffering a defeat with scores of 13-21, 8-21 in a mere 34 minutes.
