Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India] - On May 9, Rajasthan Royals' 15-year-old sensation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, made headlines in T20 cricket by becoming the youngest and fastest player to hit 100 sixes, accomplishing this remarkable feat in just 29 innings.


He also set a new record for the quickest milestone in terms of balls faced, reaching 100 sixes in only 514 deliveries.


Sooryavanshi achieved this milestone during the IPL match against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur on Saturday night.


In an explosive start, he faced Mohammed Siraj and smashed the very first ball he encountered for a towering six over long-on.


Continuing his aggressive approach, he scored 36 runs off just 16 balls, including three fours and three sixes, before Siraj managed to take him down in a thrilling contest.


Sooryavanshi has emerged as the top run-scorer for Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing IPL season, accumulating 440 runs in 11 innings with an impressive average of 40.00 and a striking strike rate of 236.55, which features one century and two half-centuries.


In the match, Gujarat Titans, led by captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, along with a late surge from Washington Sundar, posted a formidable total of 229/4 in their 20 overs against RR at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.


After being put to bat by RR's stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal, who filled in for the injured Riyan Parag, the Titans reached a score exceeding 200 thanks to Gill's 84 runs off 44 balls, Sudharsan's 55 off 36 balls, and Sundar's late contribution of 37* off 20 balls.
