The Sambalpur Warriors are poised to make their mark in the Odisha T20 League this month, aiming to improve upon their runners-up finish from the previous season. The franchise is determined to clinch the championship title this time around.

Under the leadership of captain Gaurav Choudhury and the guidance of former Indian cricketer Sanjay Raul as Head Coach, the Warriors will kick off their season at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. They are set to face the defending champions, Cuttack Panthers, on September 20, marking a rematch of last year's final.

Having gained valuable experience from their deep run in the tournament last year, the Warriors are looking to transform that into consistent performances throughout the season. The team management is optimistic about leveraging this experience to achieve better results.

Vineet Kumar Verma, the owner of the Sambalpur Warriors, expressed that last season's journey has fueled the franchise's ambitions. He stated, "Reaching the final was a significant milestone, but it has ignited a desire within the team to take that final step. The Sambalpur Warriors will face the Cuttack Panthers on September 20, followed by matches against Rourkela Superstars on September 21, Bhubaneswar Tigers on September 22, Keonjhar Miners on September 24, and Puri Titans on September 27 during the league stage.
