Gujarat Titans Dominate Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], April 24: A stunning century from Sai Sudharsan propelled the Gujarat Titans (GT) to an impressive total of 205 runs for 3 wickets against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) during their IPL clash on Friday.

Sudharsan maintained a high scoring rate, consistently finding the boundary and ensuring that the Titans kept the pressure on throughout the innings.

Despite a strong finish from RCB's bowlers in the last five overs, who only allowed 50 runs, Jason Holder contributed significantly with 18 runs in the final over.

After winning the toss, RCB's captain Rajat Patidar chose to bowl first, but the Gujarat Titans quickly took control of the match.

The opening partnership between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan was particularly effective, as they navigated the powerplay with precision.

The pair put together a solid 57-run opening stand, with Gill scoring 32 runs off 24 balls, including two fours and a six, while Sudharsan was the star of the show. Their partnership reached 100 runs by the 10th over.

Suyash Sharma eventually dismissed Gill in the 13th over after conceding a six, allowing Jos Buttler to join Sudharsan at the crease.

Sudharsan reached his half-century in just 33 balls and continued to accelerate, ultimately scoring a remarkable century off 58 balls, featuring 11 fours and 5 sixes.

By the 15th over, GT had established a strong position at 155 for 1. RCB's bowlers struggled to contain the scoring, but Josh Hazlewood provided a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Sudharsan in the 16th over, bringing Washington Sundar to the crease.

Sundar made an immediate impact, hitting a massive six off Hazlewood, while Suyash Sharma delivered an impressive 17th over, allowing only four runs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar followed up with a tight over, giving away just five runs and taking out Jos Buttler for 25 runs, which helped RCB regain some control.

As GT's innings began to stall, Hazlewood's clinical 19th over limited runs to just eight, tightening RCB's grip on the match.

However, Jason Holder unleashed his power in the final over, smashing two sixes and a boundary to help the Gujarat Titans surpass the 200-run mark.
