Milan [Italy], August 12: Romelu Lukaku has made a significant move from Italy's Serie A to the Turkish Super Lig, as Fenerbahce confirmed the acquisition of the Belgian striker on Wednesday.

While the exact financial terms were not revealed, reports from Italian sources suggest that Fenerbahce has agreed to a transfer fee of EUR6 million (approximately $6.92 million), along with potential performance bonuses for the experienced forward, who has previously played for Chelsea, Manchester United, and Inter Milan.

In a heartfelt message to Fenerbahce supporters, the 33-year-old expressed, "It’s an honour and a privilege to be joining your club, a club with such a rich history," as reported by a news agency.

Despite facing an injury-plagued season last year, where he only made seven appearances across all competitions, Lukaku played a crucial role in helping Napoli secure the Serie A title in the 2024-25 season.
