KKR's Remarkable Comeback Led by Rinku Singh

In a gripping IPL 2026 encounter held in Lucknow, Rinku Singh's outstanding unbeaten knock of 83 runs off 51 deliveries enabled the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to recover from a precarious position and set a total of 155/7 against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

After a disastrous start that left KKR struggling at 93/7 in the 15th over, Singh's resilience shone through, allowing his team to post a challenging score.

Following the toss, LSG captain Rishabh Pant opted to bowl first, a decision that was quickly justified by Mohsin Khan's exceptional bowling performance. The left-arm pacer delivered a stunning opening spell, dismantling KKR's batting lineup with precision.

Mohsin made an immediate impact, dismissing Tim Seifert for a duck in the second over. He continued his onslaught by taking out seasoned player Ajinkya Rahane (10) in the fourth over and then the explosive Cameron Green (34), who had threatened to turn the tide with three sixes, in the 11th over. Mohsin's five-wicket haul (5/23) left KKR in dire straits at 73/6 after 11 overs.

With wickets tumbling frequently, KKR appeared unlikely to even reach the 100-run mark. However, Rinku Singh stepped up, crafting a steady innings and stabilizing the score alongside the lower-order batsmen.

As the match progressed into the final overs, KKR found themselves at 112/7 in the 18th over, with Rinku on 43 off 40 balls. He then showcased his explosive batting by scoring 17 runs in the penultimate over bowled by Mohammed Shami. In a spectacular finish, Rinku hammered four consecutive sixes off Digvesh Rathi in the last over, amassing 26 runs and propelling KKR to a total of 155/7.

Rinku's innings concluded with an impressive tally of 83 runs, featuring seven fours and five sixes.

Despite the challenging target, LSG remains optimistic about their chances of chasing down KKR's score and securing a vital victory.
