RCB Set to Face Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur

New Delhi [India], April 12: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are set to clash with the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur this Sunday.

Ahead of the match, RCB captain Rajat Patidar spoke to the media, revealing that the team will wear their distinctive green jersey. This annual tradition aims to promote environmental awareness, aligning with RCB's commitment to being a carbon-neutral franchise.

Patidar stressed the importance of a focused, game-by-game mentality, prioritizing quality cricket over the specifics of the venue or the opposing team. He noted the added significance of this match due to the green initiative and the special jersey.

“We approach each game individually. If the team is confident, we aim to capitalize on that. Our focus is on playing well, irrespective of the venue. This match holds special meaning for us because of our green initiative, and wearing the green jersey adds to the excitement,” Patidar stated.

He also shared insights into his captaincy style, explaining how he manages to keep his leadership role separate from his batting duties. “When I’m on the field, I embrace my role as captain, but while batting, I don’t let the captaincy pressure affect me. I concentrate on my batting strengths and avoid altering my approach just because I’m leading the team. Even in domestic matches, I strive to stay present and contribute my best for the team,” he added.

The Rajasthan Royals currently sit seventh in the points table, having secured two wins and suffered three losses in five matches. Their last outing ended in a defeat against the Gujarat Titans by 58 runs.

Conversely, RCB faced a setback in their last match against the Delhi Capitals. They are currently positioned fourth in the points table with three victories and two losses from five games.
