With a target of 226 runs to chase, DC faces a challenging task to secure their fourth victory in the tournament.

RR opted to bat first, and the innings kicked off with excitement as Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a six on the very first ball, but Mitchell Starc quickly dismissed him just two balls later.

The situation worsened for RR when Vaibhav Sooryavanshi fell to Kyle Jamieson, leaving the team struggling at 12 runs for 2 wickets within the first two overs.

However, captain Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel mounted a strong comeback with a partnership of 102 runs. Jurel contributed a steady 42 runs off 30 balls, while Parag took charge with aggressive batting.

Parag broke free from the pressure by hitting Axar Patel for consecutive sixes, reaching his half-century in just 32 balls.

DC's captain managed to break the partnership by dismissing Jurel, which brought Ravindra Jadeja to the crease. Just when RR seemed poised for a big finish, Starc returned to disrupt their momentum, taking out Jadeja for 20 runs and then Parag for 90 runs off 50 balls, which included 8 fours and 5 sixes.

Ferreira, in fine form, targeted veteran spinner Kuldeep Yadav, hitting three massive sixes in the 18th over. He also took on Starc, scoring 17 runs in the 19th over, pushing RR past the 200-run mark.

T Natarajan struck early in the final over, dismissing Shubham Dubey for just 6 runs, bringing Jofra Archer to the crease. Ferreira continued his aggressive display, smashing Natarajan for 18 runs in the last over, leading RR to a total of 225/6 in their allotted overs.

For DC, Starc made a notable impact in his season debut, taking 3 wickets, while Jamieson, Patel, and Natarajan each contributed with a wicket.
