Mumbai Indians Prepare for Crucial IPL Match

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], April 19: As the Mumbai Indians (MI) get ready for their Indian Premier League (IPL) showdown against the Gujarat Titans (GT), bowling coach Paras Mhambrey has confirmed that both star player Rohit Sharma and Mitchell Santner are fit to play.

MI is looking to revive their season, which has recently turned into a battle for survival. After starting strong with a victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the team has faced four consecutive losses, revealing weaknesses in both their batting and bowling departments.

Their challenges intensified when Rohit sustained a hamstring injury during a match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), causing him to miss the subsequent game against the Punjab Kings (PBKS). Captain Hardik Pandya had indicated that Rohit would need 'a couple of games more' to recover fully.

Additionally, Santner was unable to participate in the PBKS match due to illness.

During a pre-match press conference, Paras provided an update on their fitness, stating, 'Both are fit. If you walk by the nets, you can see Rohit batting. He is working hard. Santner is also fit. We missed him in the last game due to a bug, but both are ready to go.'
