MS Dhoni's Anticipated Return to IPL

MS Dhoni is on the verge of making his comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After being sidelined this season due to a calf injury, he appears to have made a full recovery. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have hinted at his return by releasing a video showcasing him practicing wicketkeeping drills, much to the excitement of fans who are eager to see him play against the Mumbai Indians (MI) this Thursday.

In the lead-up to the match, CSK shared a light-hearted interaction between MS Dhoni and Deepak Chahar, a former CSK player now with MI. In the clip, Chahar approached Dhoni with a cameraman in tow, eliciting a humorous response from the seasoned player. Dhoni quipped, “Tum aaya, saath mein camera leke aaya… bhagao isko.” (You came with a camera… get him out of here.) Chahar humorously replied to the cameraman, “Arey yaar bhaiya, jao aap.” (Come on, brother, please go.) Dhoni added with a grin, “Haan, warna baat nahi kar paenge.” (Yes, otherwise we won’t be able to talk.)

CSK Management Awaits Dhoni's Decision

CSK Leaves Comeback Call To Dhoni

According to a report from Revsportz, the CSK management is leaving the decision of Dhoni's return entirely up to him. A source familiar with the situation mentioned that Dhoni has not yet confirmed whether he is ready to face MI, indicating that he might choose to delay his return until the match against the Gujarat Titans in Chennai. “The CSK management is waiting on Dhoni to tell them when he is finally ready,” the source stated. “The decision is completely his. Whether he feels prepared to play in Mumbai or prefers to wait until the 26th in Chennai against the Gujarat Titans is entirely up to him. While he practiced wicketkeeping and batted at the nets at Wankhede on Tuesday, he has not communicated to the CSK management when he plans to return to the field.”
