Lungi Ngidi's Injury Update

In a recent match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi suffered a head injury. However, he has reassured fans that he is "all good" following the incident.

Ngidi experienced a concerning moment on the field during the game, prompting him to express gratitude to his supporters via Instagram the next day. He stated, "Thank you for the messages, all good," which helped alleviate concerns regarding his health.

After the incident, Ngidi was taken to BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital in Delhi, where he was treated for the injury sustained during the match. He had a hard landing on the back of his head and neck.

Kiran Kumar Grandhi, the Chairman and co-owner of the Delhi Capitals, visited Ngidi at the hospital to check on his condition.

Despite KL Rahul's remarkable innings of 152* and a strong partnership between Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, PBKS managed to achieve a record chase of 265 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

DC struggled without Ngidi, who had to be carried off the field after attempting a catch. During the third over of PBKS's innings, Ngidi misjudged a lofted shot from Priyansh Arya while backpedaling, resulting in a heavy fall.

This incident caused a significant delay in the match, lasting over 10 minutes, as Vipraj Nigam was brought in as a concussion substitute. Following the injury, the IPL confirmed that Ngidi was "stable and expected to be discharged today."

In a post-match press conference, Venugopal commented on Ngidi's condition, stating, "I think it is not serious. We will provide updates, but nothing serious." Ngidi has been a vital player for DC this season, having taken seven wickets in seven matches with an average of 29.42.
