Following a recent defeat to the Mumbai Indians, Holder reflected on the team's current standing, which sees them at sixth place with three wins and three losses. He acknowledged the need for improvement in the middle-order batting while highlighting the strengths of their top three batsmen—Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler—as well as a formidable bowling lineup featuring Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, and Ashok Sharma.

Despite not scoring against MI, Gill's earlier performances, including three consecutive fifties, have been crucial in reviving GT's campaign after a shaky start.
