Exciting Golf Action at IGPL Invitational 2026

The IGPL Invitational 2026 has officially commenced at the stunning Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah, marking the second half of the esteemed Indian Golf Premier League.

Following six events, including one co-hosted with the Asian Tour, the IGPL Tour is set for another international stop in the UAE before returning to India for the next eight tournaments. This marks the sixth event outside India this season, following successful tournaments in Morocco, Congo, South Africa, and Mauritius, as stated in a recent announcement.

Vimtra Ventures is presenting the event, featuring record-holder Gaganjeet Bhullar in their lineup. This is the first event where franchises have taken a more prominent role in the IGPL. Bhullar holds the record for the most wins by an Indian on the Asian Tour, with 11 victories.

The tournament features a star-studded field led by Bhullar, alongside other notable players such as Shiv Kapur, a four-time Asian Tour champion and gold medallist from the 2002 Asian Games; Olympian Udayan Mane; three-time Asian Tour winner Gaurav Ghei; and Chiragh Kumar, an Asian Tour victor. The lineup also includes Indian-American Manav Shah, who recently competed in the US Open, and IGPL champions Aman Raj, Sachin Baisoya, and Aryan Roopa Anand.

In addition to the established stars, three newcomers will make their debut: Arjun Prasad, Joshua Grenville Wood, a UAE citizen for three years, and Ravi Kumar. Prasad is known for his consistent performance, which is expected to heighten the competition.

Ahmad Skaik, a UAE professional who clinched the 2025 GCC Golf Championship with a record-breaking 18-under-par score, is also part of the field. He led the UAE to its first team gold medal and has represented the country in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship.

Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of IGPL, expressed excitement about returning to the UAE, highlighting its status as a global golf hub. He noted the growing strength of the AM Green IGPL and the blend of youth and experience it brings to the courses like Al Hamra.

Al Hamra Golf Club, stretching approximately 7,200 yards, is managed by Troon Golf and has previously hosted European Tour events, including the 2022 Ras Al Khaimah Classic, won by Ryan Fox.

Mundy remarked on the importance of providing young players with opportunities to compete at such prestigious venues.

The three-day event will feature morning tee-offs, with an evening program on September 25th inviting prominent corporate figures and personalities from the UAE to participate.

Ras Al Khaimah will also introduce an innovative concept called 'X-Golf' during the IGPL Tour. This new format will debut at 9 PM on the final day, played under lights around the 18th hole.

In X-Golf, teams will be seeded based on their performance over the three rounds, with the top seed advancing directly to the semifinals. The remaining teams will compete in a round-robin format, with the best from each group joining the top seed in the semifinals, leading to a final showdown.
