In Bengaluru, Karnataka, on July 31, the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Auction saw Indian left-handed batsman Devdutt Padikkal being signed by the Hubli Tigers for a staggering Rs 13.20 lakh, making him the most expensive player of the event.
Tigers' Ambitious Plans for the Season
This significant acquisition highlights the Tigers' determination as they prepare for the upcoming season, which is set to take place from August 11 to 27 at the renowned M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Padikkal's Impressive Previous Season
Last season, Padikkal was a key player for the Gulbarga Mystics, scoring 253 runs in 10 innings with a strike rate of 140.55, including two half-centuries, which helped his team reach the semi-finals. The Hubli Tigers, who finished as runners-up last season, have strengthened their lineup by also acquiring explosive players like Abhinav Manohar, aiming for the championship this year.

The Hubli Tigers made significant moves during the auction, bringing in seasoned players like Mohammed Taha and Abhinav Manohar to establish a strong foundation, while also adding young talents such as Prakhar Chaturvedi, Sankalp SS, and others to create a balanced team.
