Bharat Arun Backs LSG Bowlers for International Opportunities
Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India] - On May 9, Lucknow Super Giants' bowling coach Bharat Arun expressed strong support for pacers Prince Yadav and Mohsin Khan, emphasizing their potential to represent India in the future. He praised their impressive performances during the ongoing IPL 2026 season.
Both players have made significant contributions to LSG, with Prince emerging as one of the top wicket-takers in the tournament, securing 16 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 18.69. Meanwhile, Mohsin has claimed 10 wickets in just five matches, boasting an impressive average of 14.90.
During a pre-match press conference before LSG's upcoming game against Chennai Super Kings, Arun stated that both Yadav and Khan possess the skills necessary for international cricket. He noted that the challenge lies in how the national team management can effectively harness their talents.
"If you ask me whether they can play for India, I would say yes. They have the capability. The challenge for the management is to effectively integrate and maximize their potential," Arun remarked, as reported by a sports media outlet.
Prince has consistently taken wickets for LSG this season, while Mohsin's standout performance occurred against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 26, where he achieved remarkable figures of 5/23 in just 4 overs.
Arun mentioned that one of the reasons he joined LSG was due to the caliber of their fast-bowling lineup. He highlighted the talents of Prince and Mohsin, alongside the strong performances from Mohammed Shami and the improving form of Mayank Yadav.
"One of the reasons I joined Lucknow Super Giants is because of their exciting bowlers. If you look at Prince, Mohsin, and Shami's current form, along with Mayank Yadav's recent performance, we have a lot of promising prospects," Bharat Arun concluded.
