Manchester [UK], April 16: Bernardo Silva, the midfielder for Manchester City, has officially announced his decision to leave the club this summer, marking the end of his nine-year tenure with the Premier League team.


In a touching post on Instagram, Silva reminisced about his journey with City, calling it the realization of a childhood aspiration and expressing his gratitude for the experiences he gained during his time there.


He emphasized the club's significant accomplishments throughout his stay, which include numerous domestic titles and success on the European stage.



Silva expressed, "When I joined nine years ago, I was chasing a dream as a young boy, eager to achieve greatness. This club and city have given me far more than I ever imagined. The legacy we built together, including the Centurions, the domestic quadruple, and the Treble, will always hold a special place in my heart."


He also mentioned that he would be departing not just from a club but from a city that has played a significant role in his personal life, including his marriage and family.


"In a few months, I will bid farewell to the city where we achieved so much as a football club and where I began my marriage and family. Thank you, Ines and Carlota," he added.


Silva expressed his appreciation to fans, teammates, manager Pep Guardiola, and the club staff, hoping that supporters felt proud of his contributions on the field. He referred to himself as "a Man City supporter for life" after his exit and encouraged fans to keep supporting the team as they aim for future successes.
